Kidron Bethel Village Health Care receives perfect state survey result

June 18, 2021

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Kidron Bethel Village Health Care passed its annual Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) health care survey with a perfect result of no deficiencies. This positive result is a testament to Kidron Bethel’s commitment to providing quality resident-focused care.

“It’s such an achievement to be recognized in this way for the care and services provided to the residents we serve,” said Kidron Bethel Village Executive Director Linda Peters. “The surveyors go into a lot of facilities and see a lot of things. They know what quality care looks like and they truly recognized it here.”

Peters reported that the surveyors were complimentary of the way staff and residents know one another and the ways in which those relationships translate into personalized resident care. Staff were also credited for being proactive in addressing issues that arise, and for keeping residents safe throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While care throughout the pandemic was not the sole focus of the visit, it plays a part within the survey. Kidron Bethel Village Health Care has had no COVID-related deaths or infection spread since the beginning of the pandemic period. A KDADS survey focused on infection control and COVID-19 procedures at Kidron Bethel Village conducted in the fall of 2020 also received a perfect zero deficiency result.

“Each person who works at Kidron Bethel Village deserves credit for the quality work they do to carry out the Bluestem Communities mission to promote lifelong wellness, purpose, choice, connection and personalized care,” said Peters. “They are hard-working, committed, caring, thoughtful and compassionate people who make a difference every day. This is an outstanding team effort.”

Kidron Bethel Village, a life plan community part of Bluestem Communities, is home to more than 300 residents living in health care, assisted living and independent living neighborhoods.
