Local businesses team up with Bluestem PACE in support of seniors
MCPHERSON, Kan.—Three Rings Brewery in McPherson (536 Old U.S. 81) will host a fundraising event, Bluestem PACE Squeals and Froth, on Friday, Sept. 12, from 5 to 9 p.m. to benefit area senior citizens.
The evening will feature cold drinks, a bratwurst meal by Krehbiel’s Specialty Meats and Tammy’s Country Catering. CHS is a financial sponsor of the event. For every sale of beer, $1 will be donated to the Bluestem PACE Good Neighbor Fund. For the bratwurst meal, there is a suggested donation of $8, the proceeds of which will also benefit the Good Neighbor Fund.
With the primary location in McPherson and an alternative care site in Hutchinson, Bluestem PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) serves individuals aged 55 and better in a six-county south central Kansas region with medical, social, physical and personal care so seniors can remain living independently in their homes for as long as possible.
The PACE Good Neighbor Fund provides financial assistance to program participants in the event of unexpected circumstances, and assists Bluestem PACE in providing highly coordinated and integrated medical, social, physical and personal care.
“We’re deeply grateful for the community support that helps provide older adults with the care and services they need to live safely and independently in their own homes,” said Nikki Klatt, Bluestem PACE Director of Marketing & Intake. “This event is a fun way to wrap up the work week with great food and great company while making a meaningful difference for the seniors in our communities.”
